Bathroom

Bathrooms can be updated and improved with a new choice of cabinets or the addition of shelving. Consider putting shelves and mirrored cabinets on the walls for your toiletries. An under-the-sink cabinet provides storage for toilet paper and other necessities. Some furniture choices include a cabinet specially made to fit over the sink or over the toilet. This provides more storage space without taking up valuable room. If cabinets and shelving are coordinated, then the overall look of the bathroom is improved. In a small space, you may want to use light colored or painted wood that will blend into the walls and give the appearance of more space. If space is not an issue, then darker woods, painted-brown or painted-black woods can be used. Today’s styles provide a modern line and hardware or a traditional look. If you have space, a taller cabinet might be used for towels and other linens. Tall, narrow shelving might be used in a smaller space for the same purpose. Fixtures, tubs and shower doors can all be replaced to update the look and function of your bathroom. Mirrors and artwork can be added to give more dimension. With enough space, a chair or bench may be added for ease in dressing. A makeup table and chair are wonderful if space allows. Be sure to select chairs, tables or cabinets made for the humid environment of the bathing room.
