If you do get these, be sure to get at least two, as long as you have room. Also get a side table for each one, rather than sharing one table between two. It just saves the hassle of accidentally knocking over the other person’s drink, and it isn’t that big of an extra expense.

What you plan to do on the patio will affect just the kind of furniture and amount you need. If you plan on grilling on the patio and eating outside, then you will need a larger table than if you just plan to sit outside and read a book every now and then outdoor wicker patio furniture.

Bear in mind that if you do plan on entertaining large groups on your patio, you may want to consider going for two smaller tables. Tables for 12 people generally are the largest you want to go, since the people at opposite ends tend to be too far away to talk to each other comfortably.

You should keep the rest of your outdoor wicker patio furniture away from the grill as much as possible. It has nothing to do about worrying about damage (which is just a precaution for the grill table), it just can get very uncomfortably hot sitting near a grill, and you don’t want any tripping hazards near it either. It’s just a little extra consideration for the people who are cooking and the people who are sitting around enjoying the great outdoors.

Unless it is a very small patio or you are absolutely sure that no one else will ever be on it, you will want a table that can comfortably sit 6-8 people and a couple of extra chairs, as well. That should really be the minimum for the amount of resin patio furniture that anyone should buy. For people with large families or people that plan on entertaining good sized groups of people regularly, you want to have room for 2-4 more people than you ever expect to have over. It is better to have too much room than to find you have too little because someone brought a friend.

You may want to spend the extra money for a metal table in this case (especially if you can find one that matches the rest of your furniture). Resin wicker patio furniture is quite durable, but if it accidentally gets slammed into a hot grill, it may end up warping a bit. Better safe than sorry.

It is important to figure out what you want to use your patio for before you start rushing out and buying outdoor wicker patio furniture. You can quite easily accidentally spend money on too much furniture or, even worse, accidentally buy a table and find you need to replace it because it is the wrong size.
